Rental Description

This kit is a perfect travel shoot kit with high-end IRND filter glass from Tiffen, and a lightweight, clamp-on (or 15mm rod mountable) Matte Box from Tilta.

The Tilta MB-T12 4X5.65 Carbon Fiber Matte Box is extremely light-weight, can be clamped onto the lens directly (with outer diameters from 80-134mm) or rod-mounted to 15mm rods.

It comes with the following:
• Light weight, yet durable, carbon fiber and aluminum construction
• 3x Panavision Standard 4 x 5.65″ filter trays (non-rotating)
• 5x Interchangeable front Interchangeable front mattes of varying sizes
• 2x Adapter Rings designed to fit popular lens diameters
• Includes 15mm dual rod mount adapters

(1) 95mm clamp on attachment
(1) 114mm clamp on attachment
(1) 134mm clamp on attachment
(1) Top French flag (foldable)
(1) 15mm LWS rod adapter (removable)

The French Flag is foldable, and the kit is perfect for travel shoots. You can choose to clamp it on, or use the 15mm rod mount.

Included is also a 4-Filter set of Tiffen IRND (Infrared-cut Neutral Density) Hot Mirror FIlters in 4×5.65″, fitting snug into the matte box filter trays.

The filters measure exactly 4 x 5.65″ (10.16 x 14.35 cm), and are 4mm thick (standard size).

Hot Mirror IRND Filter are a combination of both a hot mirror infrared (IR) control filter and a neutral density (ND) filter. A hot mirror IRND is ideal for digital cameras, which have greater low-light sensitivity and, subsequently, an increased susceptibility to IR contamination; the Hot Mirror technology eliminates both shorter and longer wavelengths of IR radiation.

-This filter is constructed using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
-The infrared control filter helps to block infrared pollution from affecting the color fidelity of imagery; this enables a wider color gamut and truer colors, especially noticeable in the darker regions of the image.
-The Hot Mirror filter blocks infrared pollution from both near and far regions of the spectrum while allowing all visible light to pass.
